Jon’s not sure he wants to go through the nearly debilitating aftereffects of a psychic reading, and he knows that the byproducts of his abilities-being able to shut down anything electronic in the area-will be a pain to deal with. But since Jon can read suspects and immediately tell if they are guilty or not, local police request his help. Neither Jon or Donovan or the rest of the detective team are excited about visiting the structure where repeated unexplained and downright spooky occurrences happen. Psychic detective Jonathan Bane and his bodyguard/lover/anchor Donovan Havili are back in a third quirky, enjoyable mystery that calls them out of Nashville to the murder site of a haunted house. Even with my eyes, it’s going to take some digging to get to the truth. This case is complicated and strange, and absolutely nothing is as it seems at first glance. I’ve investigated some pretty strange cases in my life, but I have to say this is a first.
